Nicole always enjoyed playing sports throughout her life, not only to stay active, but to build long lasting relationships with her teammates. She feels honoured to have had the opportunity to represent both Canada & Greece on their national field hockey teams. Being an elite athlete drove her to a career in health care. This began at York University where she studied Kinesiology. Wanting to further specialize, she went on to study Podiatric Medicine at The Michener Institute, graduating with distinction. To give back to her profession, Nicole strives to mentor the next generation of Chiropody students. In 2015 she received an award of excellence in clinical teaching and supervision. She then furthered her career at LMC Healthcare, where she worked as the Director of Chiropody within a large multidisciplinary healthcare team. Since it’s inception in 2016, Nicole grew the Chiropody practice at LMC to serve more than 10 cities throughout Ontario & Quebec. In 2020, she was published in the Canadian Journal of Diabetes which highlighted the prevalence & risk of diabetic complications in the foot. As a healthcare advocate, wife, and mother of 3, Nicole has always been dedicated to helping patients and their families achieve their physical mobility goals, no matter their age or health status. This passion ultimately motivated Nicole to open a clinic of her very own - Asteri Family Foot Clinic.

Alex graduated from York University earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Kinesiology and Health Science. He then drew inspiration from his mother who worked in the healthcare field and chose to further develop his education by receiving an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Chiropody from The Michener Institute. He continues to seek new ways to improve his knowledge every day so that his patients receive the most up to date and effective foot care and treatment available.

Jennise is a registered chiropodist with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. She began her post-secondary academic journey in the Honours Biomedical Sciences program at the University of Waterloo. During her studies, she participated in several research projects focused on health innovation, sharpening her critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Although she appreciated the lab environment, she discovered a greater passion for patient interaction, which led her to complement her studies with a minor in Medical Physiology. This growing interest drew her toward a career in the medical field. She continued her studies at The Michener Institute, throughout which she gained hands-on experience practising in a variety of clinical settings, ultimately earning her Advanced Diploma in Chiropody. Vanessa graduated from George Brown College receiving a diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management. She then completed a joint degree-diploma from the University of Guelph-Humber in Health Promotion and Kinesiology. While seeking a career that actively helps others, she joined the co-op position with fellow Chiropodist Nicole Joseph, D. Pod. M. to learn about the field of Chiropody. Following this experience, she received her diploma in Chiropody from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Science. In her practice, Vanessa is passionate and attentive to detail.
